The Hydrophilic Story – Chapter 5: A prosperous future
An exciting night in the North Sea.

Our latest film showcases the offshore Norway pilot of the HLT prototype – the first technically successful offshore test of the tool. During the test, we measured the pressure difference between oil and water in the reservoir, providing an estimated vertical depth to water (FWL). The operation was completed without major issues, providing the crew with useful experience for future tests.
While this marks a major milestone, challenges remain — particularly around confirming the oil–water contact. At this stage, there is still no independent verification of the estimated FWL from the HLT measurements. In the months ahead, we’ll use the insights from this pilot to refine both the tool itself and our operational procedures.
Stay tuned for updates as we are moving forward towards smarter, more efficient solutions for the oil and gas industry.
